Since 2012, the Chinese government and the Xizang Autonomous Region's finance department have cumulatively invested 473 million yuan (RMB) to support the development of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) protection in Xizang. As of now, Xizang boasts 2,760 representative ICH projects at various levels and 1,790 inheritors. Among them, 106 projects and 117 inheritors have been included in the national-level ICH list.
