Palm-leaf scriptures are sutras made in written or engraved form on palm leaves. The Potala Palace boasts the world's largest collection of such scriptures. In 2018, the National Cultural Heritage Administration launched a project for the protection and utilization of ancient texts such as the Potala Palace palm-leaf manuscripts. Significant breakthroughs have been achieved not only in sourcing palm leaf materials domestically that meet restoration requirements but also in the formulation of adhesives for repairing palm-leaf scriptures and the reinforcement of colors.
