Tibetan Zhanang woodcarving is a national-level intangible cultural heritage with a history of over 300 years. It gets its name from the fact that master carvers are able to carve a flea on a single grain of highland barley. Using engraving knives, artisans carve auspicious patterns that carry the folk beliefs of the Tibetan people. Generations of craftsmen have upheld traditional techniques and the spirit of mastery, preserving the ethnic culture of the snowy plateau. It is also a precious handmade treasure of China's highland regions.
