In Tsaka Town of Gegye County, Ngari Prefecture, China's Xizang, for thousands of years, herdsmen carried salt on sheep's backs, trekked over mountains and rivers, and bartered. Today, a cooperative salt factory has been built by the shores of Zhangcang Three Lakes. Crude salt is turned into featured salt products such as edible salt and Tibetan medicine foot therapy salt. The ancient trail connects ancient salt harvesting, salt bath experiences and cultural tourism routes. More and more farmers and herdsmen have secured stable jobs at their doorsteps. The millennium-old ancient trail is doing a brand new business.
