The spot check monitoring and data summarization of environment quality have been completed in 37 counties (prefectures) in Tibet, which provides data support for the assessment of environmental protection, according to the Environmental Protection Department of Tibet Autonomous Region.

Undertaken by the Environmental Monitoring Center of Tibet Autonomous Region, this spot check monitoring involves 47 air monitoring stations, 99 surface water monitoring sections (points), 37 monitoring reports, 1 technical report and 2101 monitoring data.

The environmental protection work of 74 counties’ government in Tibet will take the annual evaluation. If the evaluation results are not qualified, the county will be criticized in the whole autonomous region.
