Recently, the yak breeding and processing project has been signed by the Nagqu Prefecture and Chengdu Anping Company. With an investment of 700 million yuan RMB, this project is located within the logistics park of Nagqu Prefecture. The planning area of the processing zone is 1000 mu and the building area is 300,000 square meters.

After the project is constructed, the annual output of beef cattle is planed to reach 20000 and yak can be 10000. It can also solve thousands of people’s employment issues. The annual sales revenue can reach 1 billion yuan RMB and the profit tax can be 60 million yuan RMB. What’s more, the operation of this project can be beneficial to change Nagqu’s production mode and take the industrialization, modernization and scale development road.

The yak breeding and processing project will start construction before August this year, while the yak and beef cattle breeding work will be launched in July. The breeding and processing project are divided into two phases. The first phase is planed to be launched in early June and it will be completed and put into operation in December, 2016. The second phase is planed to be put into operation in 2018.
