According to relevant regulations, Tibet’s examines are all arranged in accordance with the national education examination standard. There are 739 examination rooms, 10 examination districts and 23 examination sites with 2467 test supervisors. In addition, examination stationery will be distributed to students uniformly, so apart from admissioncard and 2nd-generation ID card, other items are not allowed to take into the examination room.

Tibetan language is listed as an exam subject with its scores included into the total ones. In 2013, excellent Tibetan language teachers were chosen to compile the college entrance exam outline and explanation, which was the first kind in Tibet’s history. This year, the Tibetan language test will be held on June 9.

It is said that 3 blind students in Tibet will take this year’s “Gaokao” and they will take examines in separate exam rooms under the help of assist staff.

According to Lu Shicheng, dean of the Tibet Education and Examination Institute, poor students’ special plan and rural students’ special plan are all included in the ordinary college entrance examination enrollment plan in recent years. What’s more, these students will be enrolled separately. In 2014, the college entrance examination enrollment rate of farmers and herdsmen’s students was 71%, a year on year increase of 10%.
