During the past 50 years, the education of Tibet has been developing continuously. Today, it has formed a relatively complete system of education, which covers the preschool education, elementary education, vocational education, higher education even adult education and special education. Thus, modern education has achieved a historic leap which makes the mode changes from single to comprehensive and lower to higher levels.

Today, it has formed a relatively complete system of education, which covers the preschool education, elementary education, vocational education, higher education even adult education and special education. Thus, modern education has achieved a historic leap which makes the mode changes from single to comprehensive and lower to higher levels.
With the support of national preferential policies, in 2012, southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region has realized 15 years’ free education from preschool education to senior high school education (including the secondary vocational school education).
