Barkhor Street, located at the ancient downtown of Lhasa City, the capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, is an important business center and ritual walk path for local people, and a famous historical and cultural district of the county.
Thanks for the concern from the party and the central government, Lhasa has carried out an protection project on the ancient district since December, 2012. Construction of underground colligation pipeline, water supply and drainage improvement, building metope maintenance, as well as street lights of Tibetan feature have improved the residents living conditions and given the ancient district professional and scientific protection.
