During all these years, government of Nyema’s Ombu Village in Nagchu of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region has been persevering in an effort to reasonably and scientifically develop local tourist and cultural resource and speed up the pace of local people being well off.
Since the year 2012, the government of Nagchu Prefecture has allocated 250,000 yuan RMB to Ombu building tourist restaurants and parking lots, the government of Nyema County has also allocated 210,000 yuan RMB to Ombu training tourist guides and helping farmers and herdsmen running family hotels. In 2013, the central government in China’s capital Beijing has allocated 8.14 million to maintain the 1000 year old Bon monastery of Ombu. Moreover, there are 3 roadways connecting Ombu with Shigatse’s Ngangring, Nagchu’s Tsoqen and Bangoin under construction.
