Since the year 2006, Nyemo County of Lhasa City, the capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, has been developing Tibetan incense industry with full efforts. As the most important local industry, Nyemo Tibetan incense making has attracted more than 160 households and has brought large sums of cash income while the traditional Tibetan incence making skill is well protected and inherited. During recent months, in the slack season of agriculture and peak season of tourism, Thonpa’s villagers embark on Tinbetan incense making and selling, which helps them increasing income at a large degree.
