It is reported that Nyingchi Prefecture’s total output value reached 9.3billion yuan, an increase of 137.9 folds than that of 1986. The fixed assets’ value achieved 13.1 billion yuan. The local public budget revenue totaled 758 million yuan. The per capita disposable income of rural residents was 8582 yuan. The social retail sales reached 2.6 billion yuan, an increase of 70 folds than that of 1986.

Moreover, the urban area is 11.7 square kilometers, which is increased by 10 times, and gradually grows into an urban network that centers on the city with other counties and towns as urban nodes. The urbanization rate reaches 34.45%. Nyingchi Prefecture has 5482 kilometers of total highway, among which the rural roads reaches 96.3% and administrative villages 95.7%.
