According to the data of Tibet Autonomous Region’s Environmental Protection Bureau, 70% land area in Tibet is either banned or restricted from developing, which is more than 800,000 square kilometers, accounting for about 1/5 of national land area that banned and restricted from developing. Mostly of them are national nature reserves, world cultural and natural heritages as well as national scenic spots, such as Lalu Wetland National Nature Reserve, the Potala Palace and Yangbajain National Geopark in Damdoi, etc.
