It is reported that the first football team-Lhasa Jingtu men soccer team, in southwest China’s Tibet Region is planned to be funded recently. The recruit for football players enters a substantial stage. This football team decides to place their home game at Lhasa, the capital city of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. With an altitude of 3,646 meters, Lhasa will become the highest place for football home game in China.

Currently, there are 200 applications for Lhasa Jingtu men soccer team. The football players of this soccer team will be chosen by the merit-based enrollment. This team plans to join the league matches organized by FA (football association).

Enjoying the stronger cardiopulmonary function and physical endurance, the Tibetan have the potential benefits in football game.

In addition, football game also is very popular in Tibet. Some institutions ,companies and schools usually organize football games. The fund of Lhasa Jingtu men soccer team will be beneficial for the improvement of football performance in Tibet.

On May of 2015, Tibet’s first professional basketball team was funded and joined the 2015 China’s men football league games.
