Enjoying thousands of years’ s history, Tibet medicine has gradually expanded to inland markets.

In the old days, the Tibetan medicine research and production were in monasteries and served for aristocrats. Currently, traditional Tibetan drugs are produced in modern factories instead of small manual workshops, meaning the Tibet medicine industrial system has been set up. Tibet now has 18 Tibet medical establishments that all are identified by national GMP, making Tibet medicine accessible to people through the region. Besides, the annual average output value of Tibet medicine reaches over 0.8 billion yuan.

In recent years, Tibet medicine has been gradually expanded to the inland cities. Except Chinese traditional treatment and western treatment, Tibet treatment also provides more choices for patients. In China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, Tibet medicine establishments set up direct-sell spots for Tibetan drugs and provides the mailing service which is convenient for patient living in inland cities to use Tibetan drug. In addition, there are more and more Tibet medicine clinics in many inland cities.

According to the authorities from Tibet medicine hospital in China’s Tibet, most of Tibet medicine are collected from the plateau that enjoys high-altitude, large temperature difference and strong sunlight. Many recipes of Tibet drugs are herbs, which is low-cost, simple-operation and prominent effect.

Tibet medicine is now one of the most perfect and influential national medicines in China. Currently, the Tibet medicine is in application for the UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
