In recent years, themes as “amazing Mt Qomolangma, mysterious Tsang and auspicious Shigatse”, Shigatse adheres to the integration development of eco-culture, the border culture, folk culture, red culture and Buddhism culture, which forms a new pattern of tourism development enjoying unique and vitality. The tourist industry is developing greatly. In the first half of this year, with 677 thousands visitors from both home and abroad, Shigatse witnessed 570 mln yuan on tourism.
