It is reported from Xinhua that Tibet’s first museum of natural science, also the biggest museum in Tibet, opens in recent days, which is free to the public. It means that all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China have natural science museum.
According to Chang Gangqing, the head of science and technology office of China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, with an investment of more than 400 million yuan($ 63 dollars), Tibet Museum of Natural Science covers an area of over 30,000 square kilometers. The permanent exhibition halls includes nature hall and science hall. Nature hall mainly displays the unique natural landscape of Tibet, rich biological species and others. Science hall shows the ancient scientific completions that reveal the wisdom ancient Tibetan, the latest scientific achievements and the basic scientific knowledge.
