130 mln of investment in Kyerpa Reservoir

It is reported from Water Resources Department of China’s Tibet Autonomous Region that until now, Kyerpa Reservoir, located in Shannan Prefecture, China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, has already costed over 130 million yuan. With an investment of 390 million yuan, this reservoir, spending 32 months in total, is one of the main water conservancy projects in 12th Five-Year Plan.

Kyerpa Reservoir,having a total storage of 9.21 million cubic meters, mainly consists of rolled type asphalt concrete soil core rock fill dam and water and drain hontong. The highest dam in this project boasts 67.06 meters high. This reservoir means for irrigation and water supply, which also takes ecology into account. 

This project is divided into two stages. The first, starting from July 1th, having 170 workers and 30 equipment. The second has 133 workers and 61 equipment. At present, the Kyerpa Reservoir Project has entered the implementation stage.
