Tibet leaders meet with the consul of Consulate General of the United States, Chengdu

On Nov 3, 2015, the member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Tibet Autonomous Region and secretary of Lhasa Municipal Committee Che Tsala met at the Foreign and Overseas Affairs Office of Tibet Autonomous Region with Eliran, the consul of Consulate General of the United States, Chengdu.  

At the beginning of this meeting, Che Tsala , on behalf of Tibet Autonomous Region, warmly welcomed their arrival with hadas. He said that not long ago CCP general secretary Xi Jinping travels to the United States on a state visit. During the visit, President Xi Jinping and President Obama holds an in-depth, open and constructive talk with each other, and extensive consensus and a series of important results have been achieved.

He said, during the past 50 years, Lhasa’s economy and science have been developing, all nationalities have been living in harmony, Lhasa’s society is harmonious and stable, ecological environment here is fine, besides, Tibetan people live and work in peace and contentment. All these are due to  the loving care of  the Party' Central Committee and the State Council, the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee’s correct leadership as well as the joint efforts of carders and the masses throughout Lhasa City.

Eliran expressed his sincere thanks for the warm reception and hospitality. He highly appreciates the great efforts that Lhasa has made  in the process of inheriting and developing its traditional culture. He said, America and China have shared a close relationship, and he is willing to do more for the friendly communications between the two cities. He also wished that there would be further communications between Consulate General of the United States, Chengdu and Lhasa.
