Recently, it is acknowledged that the first solar powered public bus which completed parameter detection has formally entered operation phase. Compared to the 27 pure electric buses put into operation in July, the biggest distinction is that the roof of the new bus is comprised of 32 photovoltaic (PV) panels. Through the PV panels, electricity is converted from solar power to support the engine of the bus.The new bus can run for more than two hundred kilometers when it is fully charged.
