The 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, 21st Conference of the Parties (COP 21), or Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 11), will be held in France from Nov 30 to Dec 11. Every year, celebrities dedicated to environmental protection are invited to attend the UN Climate Change Conference.

Leonardo DiCaprio

US actor and UN Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio spoke during the climate summit at United Nations Headquarters in New York. He told world leaders, "this disaster has grown beyond the choices that individuals make."

Mark Ruffalo

Actor Mark Ruffalo was with DiCaprio, marching in New York City. He is the founder of a petition, now closed, that the Tom Nelson blog quoted: "We, the people, demand the President of the United States and  its legislative body recognize climate change as great and grave a threat to this nation as they would any other aggressive enemy."

George Clooney

George Clooney is known for his activism regarding genocide in Darfur and Sudan, but he’s also a global-warming opponent.  In fact, the actor was blunt about people who are skeptics, NBC News reported: "The idea that we ignore that we are in some way involved in climate change is ridiculous. What's the worst thing that happens? We clean up the earth a little bit?"

Cate Blanchett

Actress Cate Blanchett appealed to business leaders for reduced carbon emissions and more sustainable efforts.
