Tibet leader Deng Xiaogang meets with chairman of Nepal PowerAbuse Inquiry Commission

On Nov 6, 2015,  vice-chairman and deputy political and legal secretary of the CPC Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region Deng Xiaogang met in Lhasa with Locke Synge Kalergi, the chairman of Nepal PowerAbuse Inquiry Commission. Wang Shuangquan, vice-chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region,as well as Sodar, president of Higher People's Court of Tibet Autonomous Region, also met with Locke Synge Kalergi.

At the beginning of this meeting, Deng Xiaogang , on behalf of Tibet Autonomous Region, warmly welcomed their arrival and congratulated Nepal on the approval of new constitution. He also expressed appreciation and heartfelt thanks for the efforts made by Nepal government for supporting China on the Tibet-related and Taiwan-related issues. China and Nepal are close in both geographic location and diplomatic relations. Tibet Autonomous Region highly valuesthe developing of exchanges between China and Nepal.

He said, during the past 50 years, Lhasa’s economy and science have been developing, all nationalities have been living in harmony, Lhasa’s society is harmonious and stable, ecological environment here is fine, besides, Tibetan people live and work in peace and contentment. All these are due to the loving care of the Party' Central Committee and the State Council, the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee’s correct leadership as well as the joint efforts of carders and the masses throughout Lhasa City.

Kalergi expressed his sincere thanks for the warm reception and hospitality. He highly appreciates the great efforts that Lhasa has made  in the process of inheriting and developing its traditional culture. He said, great changes and outstanding achievements have taken place here, and he was impressed. The government of Nepal will firmly pursue the one-china policy, and he is willing to do more for the friendly communications between the two counties. He also wished to strengthen the communication with Tibet Autonomous Region in the field of supervision law enforcement and promote development and prosperity of the good-neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries.
