All of the centers are equipped with computers and printers, with access to the Internet, as well as service hotlines in Tibetan. A total of 3,000 staffs trained by the local government working for farmers and herdsmen.

"We provide employment information as well as sales information of major vegetable markets to farmers and herdsmen, making their life more easier," said Yuanten Tsewang, who works in an information service center in Dagze county of suburban Lhasa, the regional capital.

"The information service centers will bring the knowledge of production technology and pest control to farmers and herdsmen, and forecast extreme weather conditions," said Xu Fei, director of the regional Department of Industry and Information Technology.
