The high-grade highway between Lhasa and Nyingchi has started a trial operation since September 15. Trial operation period lasts for half a year.

On November 24, 2015, reporters learned from Tibet Autonomous Region’s Department of Transportation that invitation for bids of Lhasa-Nyingchi G318 line reconstruction project has been issued by major media and on the websites. The reconstruction project is planned to start its construction in January, 2016.The overall length is 163.776 kilometers, and its planned project duration is 18 months.
