Tibetan tourism has been continuously hot since the beginning of this year. It is expected that Tibet tourist receipts are going to exceed 20mln and the tourism revenue in Tibet will break 28 bln Yuan in 2015, both of which will reach new records.

According to the Tibet Autonomous Region’s Tourism Development Committee, in 2014, Tibet has received 15.53 million domestic and foreign tourists, achieving 20.4 billion Yuan’s tourism revenue. In the first nine months of this year, Tibet has received 17.47 million domestic and foreign tourists, up 36 percent year-on-year.  In addition, the visitors brought 22.85 billion Yuan in tourism revenue, up 39.5 percent year-on-year. 

Since the beginning of this year, a series of tourism festival activities have been held throughout Tibet Autonomous Region which attract a large number of tourists to come to Tibet. Tourism festival activities have become a kind of booster for the development of Tibet tourism.
