During the period of the “12th Five-Year Plan”, disposable income of Lhasa urban residents has risen from 16,567 yuan in 2010 to 23,057 yuan in 2014, up 39.2 percent compared with that in 2010 and a yearly increase of 8.6 percent.
It is reported that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, Lhasa implemented a series of policies to widen the channel of urban residents’ employment and increase the level of disposable income to a historic new high.
At present, the household conditions of Lhasa urban residents have clearly improved, and consumption on education, culture as well as entertainment grows continuously.
With the improvement of living standards, various Tibetan family restaurants, Chinese food restaurants and Western restaurants can be found everywhere on the streets of Lhasa.
