Economy of Tibet to develop more vigorously

In 2015, the total output value of local dairy company Treasure of Tibetan Plateau achieves 100 million yuan(about 1.521 million U.S. dollars), a 50% increase compared with last year. At present, liquid milk from Treasure of Tibetan Plateau has been well received by common people in seven cities of Tibet Autonomous Region. It is estimated that processing factories will be set up in Sichuan Province and Gansu Province in 2016, aiming at the high-end market outside the region. The output value this year is expected to reach 300 to 400 million yuan.

Tibet Airlines is developing rather well in 2015. There are 5 airplanes introduced, making a total of 15 air transport aircraft fleets. Besides, it has been sustainably profitable, realizing 52,590 hours of flight safety, two million’s passenger volume, 2.273 billion yuan’s operating revenue and 163 million yuan’s paid taxes. At present, Tibet Airlines has offered 34 air routes, including 21 Tibet-related routes. Direct flights can bring people to 28 cities in China, containing 12 cities in aid-Tibet provinces.

The great changes and economic development of Treasure of Tibetan Plateau and Tibet Airlines are just a microcosm of high-speed economic development in Tibet Autonomous Region.

The achievement of economic and social development in the region is more pleasurable.

In 2015, the gross production value in Tibet Autonomous Region is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan, achieving the goal of absolute amount in advance.

Per capita disposable income of farmers and herdsmen is estimated to reach 8,400 yuan, an increase of 14 percent over the previous year, maintaining double-digit growth for 13 years.

In 2015, the grain output of Tibet Autonomous Region hits one million tons, making a historic breakthrough.

In 2015, the whole region’s industrial economy is stable and better. The industrial added value is expected to total 8.2 billion yuan, up to 14 percent year-on-year.

Tibet received over 20 million tourists in 2015, achieving 28 billion yuan’s tourism revenue.

Tibet today has already opened her arms, ready to welcome tourists from all parts of the world. In the years to come, people of all ethnic groups in Tibet will insist more firmly on building moderately prosperous society through development road with Chinese characteristics and Tibetan features.
