During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, 215,400 social housing have been built in Tibet Autonomous Region, including 9,200 low-rent housings, 51,000 relocation housings, 71,100 public rental housing and 84,100 squatter settlements. The social-housing program occupys a total construction area of 12.53 million square meters, which has been invested 16.777 billion yuan. Construction scale and investment scale reach 4.27 times and 4.48 times than the social security housing programme of the 12th Five-Year Plan.

So far, 1,393 Lifelong Quality and Safety Contracts have been signed, 265 permanent scutcheons have been set and 965 inspections have been carried out, which making the construction market order in Tibet getting better.

According to relevant data statistics, the added value in the construction industry has increased from 12.419 billion yuan to 27.068 billion yuan during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, up 17.8% year-on-year. Construction industry has truly become the pillar industry in Tibet Autonomous Region, making great contributions to the poverty alleviation work as well as the healthy and sustainable development of economy and society.
