According to the Government of Tingri County, in 2015, a total of over 40,000 tourists were received at the Base Camp of world’s highest peak Mt. Qomolangma. Besides, the ticket revenue exceeded 1 4 million yuan. At present, tourists are still going to Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp in an endless stream.

In recent years, Tingri County has been constantly enhancing the infrastructure construction of Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp. Asphalt road and electricity have already had access to the Camp. Besides, they set up tourism comprehensive service station to provide rescue and accommodation services.  

The best mountaineering seasons for the northern slope of Mt. Qomolangma are late April to early June and middle September to early October. While the destination for Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp is available all around the year. At present, all tourists going to Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp can get a half price, which is 90 yuan RMB per person.
