According to the data, during the period of 12th Five-Year Plan, Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, carried out more than 100 science and technology programs which costed 92.84 million yuan (about 14.27 million U.S. dollars). Thanks to sci-tech workers' efforts, there are over 20 scientific achievements in total. Besides, Lhasa also promotes and supports the construction of pure land health cultivation bases. The implement of  science and technology programs accelerates the processing and commercialization of agricultural products, enhances the additional value of farm produces and has great significance in providing more jobs and boosting agricultural industrialization and modernization.
