In recent days, more and more tourists have come here and taken a trip in Tibet Autonomous Region. As the first stop of Tibetan tourism, Lhasa has captured the hearts of a large number of tourists. Along with the perfection of public facilities on the streets in Lhasa, a growing number of tourists enjoy wandering about unhurriedly on the streets in Lhasa. Therefore, public bicycle has become a fine choice for tourists to go around.

It is reported that there is a total of 240 public bicycles at urban district in Lhasa as well as 5 leasing card handling stations, namely Bicycle Leasing Card Handling Center of Lhasa Public Transportation Corporation, Lhasa Transportation Agency Service Point, Lhasa Central Post Office Service Point, Lhasa Public Service Center and Lhasa Sigkang Service Point.

According to Dawa, vice director of Lhasa Public Transportation Corporation’s Bicycle Leasing Center, citizens and tourists can apply for bicycle leasing cards at 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 14:30 p.m. to 18:00 p.m. every day. Only a few minutes are needed, if tourists need to return the cards.

At present, the number of public bicycles leased is about 35 each day in Lhasa. “In accordance with the leasing situation of previous years, the peak public bicycle lease period will come in the near future, and the number of public bicycles leased every day is to reach 50 by then”, Dawa said.
