The 1st Tibet University Football League supported by the Education Department of Tibet Autonomous Region kicked off in Lhasa Culture and Sports Center on May 31. Tibet University, Tibet Vocational College and other five universities and colleges take part in this activity.
The 1st Tibet University Football League started from May 31 to June 6, marketing the new beginning point of Tibet's school football development. In order to ensure justice and equity in competitions, outstanding referees from Ngari, Shigatse and Nagqu are invited to this football league. Besides, security guards and medical workers are also at the rest area during the competitions in order to make sure football games goes well. Pema, a football coach of Lhasa Normal Vocational College, said that in order to participate in the 1st Tibet University Football League, they chose freshmen who are into football and play well. The strength of their football team also gets improved.
Mila, a football player of Tibetan Medicine College, told that Tibetan Medicine College was just set up a week ago. Although the result they got in this competition was not ideal, he believes that their team will become better and better.
