Tibet: Cultural relics coming alive on Cultural Heritage Day

On June 11, 2016, several activities such as National Treasures Exhibition, Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition etc. are held by Tibet Autonomous Region's Culture Bureau, Cultural Relics Bureau and Intangible Cultural Heritage Conservation Center etc. so as to greet the 11th Cultural Heritage Day in China. Since the launch of Tibet's Intangible Cultural Heritage Conservation Project in 2005, two projects have been added to the Representative List of United Nations' Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, besides, 89 projects and 68 representative successors have been included into the national list. So far, the movable cultural relics census in Tibet has been orderly pushed forward, which covers more than 1,300 cultural relics collection or preservation entities. Besides, a total of over 100,000 movable cultural relics have been registered and their detailed profiles have been established as well.
