Sichuan-Tibet Highway caved in, causing road traffic disruption

On July 26, 2016, affected by heavy rainfall, several large-sized landslides along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway happened at Markam County, Qamdo, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

It is reported that the collapse body at K3503 section is a whole piece of huge rock which is about 80 meters long and 7 meters wide,resulting in the bidirectional interruption. At present, over 20 officers and soldiers from the second traffic detachment of armed police have rushed to the scene with various kinds of machinery vehicles.
