The construction of Zhangmu New District is one of the major reconstruction projects in Shigatse after the 4.25 Earthquake. Under the high attention of Tibet Autonomous Region’s Party Commitee and Tibet Autonomous Region’s Government, the construction of Zhangmu New District in Shigatse has been steadily carried forward. Through reconstruction, it aims at building Zhangmu New District into a all-round well-off demonstration district with a stronger guarantee capability, a wider covering domain and a higher level of equalization of public services.
