After eight years of hard work, Modern Tibetan Dictionary compiled by Tibet People's Publishing House has been published and distributed recently, which is the first comprehensive modern Tibetan dictionary published by Tibet Autonomous Region. According to Tibet People's Publishing House, more than 80,000 entries are recorded in the dictionary. Apart from the commonly used words, more widely used new terms, some Sanskrit words and documentary words in Tibetan historical files are also recorded, which are usable for elementary students, undergraduates, researchers and different groups of people. There are about 2.4 million words and nearly 2300 pages in the dictionary.
