In recent years, Tibet has been strengthening the infrastructure construction including transportation, water conservancy, energy and so on with the aim of meeting people's production and living needs.

In the first three quarters this year, more than 30 billion yuan is invested in highway construction projects. With an investment of 4.88 billion yuan, 344 water conservancy projects starts construction or reconstruction. The completed investment of energy projects is 8.569 billion yuan. Among 1996 subprojects arranged in 2016, 205 have been completed and 1689 are still under construction. The operating rate is 94.9%.
