In 2012, China Petroleum Group concluded and signed a Framework Agreement on Gas Supply Cooperation with Tibet Autonomous Region's Government, proposing to make the heating supply project in Lhasa one "heart-warming project". Since the construction of this project, over 200,000 citizens in Lhasa have enjoyed the convenience of natural gas. The daily demand for gas during the peak winter months in 2015 was 145,000 cubic meters, and the total demand for gas in 2015 was more than 14 million cubic meters.
