5.1 magnitude earthquake hits Nyainrong County in Tibet

According to China Earthquake Networks Center, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake jolted Nyainrong County, Naqu, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, the epicenter was at a depth of about five kilometers, at Beijing time 05:34 December 5, 2016. There have been no casualties reported, and no homes have been damaged, according to the news from Nyainrong Communist Party of China.

Located about 4,700 meters above the sea level, Nyainrong has a population of around 20,000.
