Recently, the protection and repair work of ancient books census in Tibet Autonomous Region has been finished. It is reported that the census registration work of ancient works in seven cities and perfectures of Tibet has basically completed. Ancient Books Protection Center of Tibet Autonomous Region has successfully declared the fifth batch of Catalogue of National Rare Books in China, and a total of 59 ancient works are publicly displayed by the Catalogue of National Rare Books in China.
In 2016, Ancient Books Protection Center of Tibet Autonomous Region completed the electronic edition acquisition, input, arrangement and digitization of ancient books catalogue at Potala Palace, Norbu Lingka and Drepung Monastery, as well as the census registration and data reduction work of ancient books at Tibet Autonomous Region's Archives. Over 2,300 letters of ancient works and over 7,000 photocopies of ancient books are completed by the Ancient Books Protection Center of Tibet Autonomous Region. Meanwhile, it has successfully declared the fifth batch of Catalogue of National Rare Books in China, and a total of 59 ancient works are publicly displayed by the Catalogue of National Rare Books in China.
