Nyingchi, founded in 1986, is located at the southeast of Tibet, middle and downstream area of the Yarlung Zangbo River. It is a city with the lowest elevation in Tibet. With humid climate and beautiful scenery, it is known as "JiangNan in Tibet". In recent years, the overall strength of Nyingchi has been improved sharply. In 2014, gross value of production is 9.286 billion yuan(about 144.95446 million dollars), increasing 137.9 times than that in 1986. In June 2015, Nyingchi is the third city approved following Shigatse and Qsmdo.

Generally, you can visit Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon from April to May and September to October. It contains castles, monasteries, temples, meditation caves, peaks and stupas.

Ranked as the most beautiful mountain in China by the Chinese National Geography magazine, Namjagbarwa in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon is becoming as big a tourist hot spot as Mount Qomolangma. Mount Namjagbarwa is the most beautiful mountain in China as well as the paradise of animals and plants. The mountain is the world’s 15th highest, standing 7,782 meters above sea level. The word "Namjagbarwa“” has several meanings in the Tibetan language, among which the most acknowledged is "the spear piercing into the sky". Folklore suggests the mountaintop is where the gods get together, and the cloud around is smoke rising from the fragrant branches they burn. As a result, residents in the canyon deeply revere the lofty mountain.

LuLang means "Loong King Valley" in Tibetan language, or "a place that will make you forget your home". It is located by the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, about 80 km from Nyingchi County. In summer, the flowers will blossom. Also, it is 1 of the best spot to watch the Namjagbarwa (the highest peak in Nyingchi with an elevation of 7782 meters).
