By Megan Source:China Tibet News 2017-01-16

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Tibet plans to select 100 primary and secondary schools as well as kindergartens and form a "hand in hand" helping relationship with 100 high-quality primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in targeted aid provinces so as to help Tibet schools open enough courses and achieve the goal of “teaching rightly, teaching well” for aid-receiving school teachers.

Recently, the Ministry of Education has issued "opinions on the strengthening education targeted aid work in Tibet and Tibetan areas in four provinces during the ‘13th Five-Year Plan’ period" (hereinafter referred to as the "opinions"). The "opinions" requires that about 800 teachers shall be selected regularly from targeted aid provinces and schools affiliated universities directly under the Ministry of Education and sent to support education in Tibet. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the total number of aid-receiving primary and secondary schools in Tibet shall reach 20.
