In Gyakar Dongtsan scenic spot, Gongbo gyamda of Nyingchi, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, there are more than 2,000 wild Tibetan macaques. Tibetan macaque (Macaca speciosa thibetanas) is widely distributed in eastern Tibet and western Sichuan province, 1,500 ~ 2,500 meters altitude mountain broad-leaved forest region. With the short dense brown fur, the Tibetan macaque, a gregarious animal, has a chin whisker and a hairless face. Its diet consists mostly of fruit, but it will also consume seeds, leaves, peanuts and flowers as well as invertebrates.

More than a decade ago, over 50 Tibetan macaques came to Gyakar Dongtsan and ate out barely seeds. With the help of governments, Lin Tse Village moved and left the original land for Tibetan macaques.
