According to the Communications Administration of Tibet Autonomous Region, at the moment, seven cities in China's Tibet have reached the standard of optical network cities", marking that China's Tibet has entered the era of "optical network cities". In the period of 13th Five-Year Plan, all administrative villages will have access to fiber-optical network.
Tibet will increase the investment on the broadband infrastructure, covering schools, the government, industry park, hotels and buildings. The family fixed broadband penetration rate will reach 52 percent, of which 70 percent users will be connected with over 20M broadband. Besides, 50M broadband will achieve great development. Currently, seven cities in China's Tibet have reached the standard of “optical network cities”, marking that China's Tibet has entered the era of “optical network cities”. 100 percent of administrative villages in Tibet are connected with mobile signal coverage. Internet reached 83.8 percent of Tibet’s administrative villages.
In the period of 13th Five-Year Plan, all administrative villages will have access to fiber-optical network. Tibet’s unincorporated villages will also be fully covered by mobile communication.
