Drenthang Town, for its harsh natural condition, has been limited its economic development by bad traffic. Production and living materials of Drenthang people are transported by human and livestock.

The reconstruction project of Regional Highway 514 includes the section from Dingkye County’s Sa’er to Drenthang, a significant trade road leading to China-Nepal border, which is hopefully to solve Drenthang villagers’ difficulty on traffic.
