Lhasa Relief Management Station & Juvenile Protection Center starts construction

According to the Lhasa Civil Affairs Bureau, the Lhasa Relief Management Station & Juvenile Protection Center has started construction and it is expected to be put into use within this year. This project aims to effectively protect the lawful rights and interests of homeless juveniles, and ensure their healthy growth.

The Lhasa Relief Management Station & Juvenile Protection Center is designed to provide 302 beds. Among which, 111 beds are provided for vagrants and beggars, 90 beds are provided for voluntary recipients, and 101 beds are provided for juveniles.

Function areas include multifunctional hall, restaurant, relief management station,  juvenile protection center, and so on. In addition, there are green square, small football field, and sports facilities.

This project integrates with relief, protection, management, education, service and other functions. After construction, it will effectively protect the lawful rights and interests of homeless juveniles.

In addition, this project is also an important measure to improve livelihood work, promote social harmony and stability, and promote the development of mental health welfare service. Besides, it is a key part of preventing minor crime, and reducing negative social impact.
