Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), as major grain producing area and important animal husbandry city in Tibet, Shigatse City has been comprehensively implementing the policy of supporting agriculture and benefiting farmers, increasing investment in agricultural infrastructure, vigorously developing animal husbandry in agriculture regions, and promoting agriculture by applying scientific and technological advances. Therefore, agricultural and animal husbandry production has realized a bumper harvest in successive years.
