Namkha Village of Kaimai Town, Gyangze County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region is often called “the hometown of plateau pottery”. In 2010, the masses of Namkha Village were all relocated to Kar Village of Rinang Town. To solve the employment issue and develop characteristic plateau industries, with an aid-Tibet fund of 499,000 yuan that is provided by the aid-Tibet work team of Shanghai City, the pottery processing plant was established, leading over 20 local people to get employed.
