On Dec. 18, the opening ceremony of the new site of Shigatse People's Hospital was officially held. With an investment of nearly 700 million yuan and covering a floor area of 180 mu and a building area of 85700 square meters, the new site contains outpatient & emergency department building, medical technology building, inpatient building, general practitioner training base, oxygen plant, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, medical waste disposal center and so on. The establishment and operation of the new hospital site will greatly meet the growing medical needs of the general public.
