In 2012, China Petroleum signed a framework agreement on natural gas supply with the government of Tibet Autonomous Region, proposing building Lhasa City's heating project as livelihood project. At present, more than 200,000 residents in Lhasa City have enjoyed the convenience of natural gas. Last winter, the gas consumption at daily peak time reached 145,000 cubic meters, and the total gas consumption reached over 14 million cubic meters. This year, the gas consumption is expected to show a further growth.
